Mine is still there, and I used it to inspect the M-6 chain tensioner and to more easily add my quart of oil at my 5000 mile services.
At about 80,000 miles, the 2 bottom screws began to strip and now there are (2) 5/16" screws on the bottom of the cover, having re-tapped the 1/4" holes.
And now I put oil in like the newer bikes at the clutch cover. Haven't touched the inspection cover in 2 years.
I put the auto primary chain adjuster in my 2000 Ultra.
I also have one hole thread that may need to be re-tapped the next time I service the primary oil case.
I have one of those new orange plastic thing-a-ma-jigs (funnel) that you place in the cderby cover hole to assistin getting oil into the chain case. Can't wait to try it out!
