I took mine off after my shoe lace or pant leg got hung up on it as I was coming to a stop. Almost went down.

Love it! Wasn't sure how it would work out for me, but it felt very natural even from the very first ride. Non-scuffed boots are a plus!

After a week of using it, I can see why people either love it or hate it. Sometimes when I am riding and my heel moves to touch the heel shifter, I wonder in a panic and my foot needs to come up, will the heel get stuck? It has not made me take it off, but I still think about it.

depends, I use it all the time when I have better shoes on, like when I ride to work. When I have boots on then I don't use it so much.
Never use that back portion of the floorboards anyway so it not really in the way

Wife and Evil twin swear by theirs, I take mine off right away. Kuryaken makes an adapter where you move the front one out to the end, it is lined with delrin. I 'spose the HD one is about the same. To me, it just takes up foot space.

Tried it, Didn't like it, just got in the way. Didn't like having to move my foot around to shift.

I plan on putting mine back on... I'm tired of scuffing my kicks too... I will put on the extended lever so the floorboard is not obscured.
