4 of us heading to Clearwater next week for work. Taking our bikes from New England. Any good biker friendly bars in the area? Everyone is telling us it is a retirement community and to be careful of all the retired people running stop signs and hitting people on bikes. We will risk it. Also any good day trips would be apprieciated. Be in town for two weeks.
Your gonna love Clearwater, great beaches. Lots of old folks but they drive slow so not a problem. Lots of bars around Ulmberton Road and on US19. Also Harley of Clearwater on US19. Have fun.
Head south on Gulf blvd. there are biker bars all along the way, make sure to stop in at Gators just over the bridge at Johns Pass. Keep going south and you will see the Don Cesar hotel near Passagrill beach (been in lots of movies) turn left there and you can go to Fort Desoto park (historical). come back out of the park and go right to US 19/34th street, go right and you will get to the Sunshine Skyway bridge. Go over the bridge and keep going south to Key West! (kidding)
Peggy's across the Skyway in Palmetto is as biker bar as it gets. All the places above are pretty cool also.I like Gators at the pass.Lots of scenery.Quaker Steak and shake has one of the best bike nights around.Very bike friendly area.
