I ride a 2007 NightTrain. I installed the Burn Out kit about a month ago, and also lowered the front end with the Progressive kit. Lowered the bike almost 2 inches, now I have to roll it on a board to get my Sears ATV/Cycle jack under it. Rides stiffer, I feel every rock and crack in the road. I"m gonna play with the pre-loads this weekend, and see what happens. Also picked up a VERY slight shimmy or wobble around 35-45, but I think I need to check my front end for play (per manual).
It now has the look that I wanted, and except for feeling like a rigid frame, I'm happy.

The install was pretty straight forward, but it was a bitch getting the right shock back in. And the bolts holding the rubber bushings/washers were tricky getting a wrench on, particularly the back ones (closest to the shock body). I used blue lock-tite everywhere, and painted a "slip mark" with red fingernail polish on the bolts.

On a side note, the same weekend that I did the shocks and forks, I also installed the Xied kits from Nightrider, and installed a set of black Rush 1.75 slip-on mufflers, and a Brawler solo seat. Turned my new bike into a, uhh, new bike! I am a VERY happy camper!
Good luck.
