Anyone running V&H Big Radius 2 into 2's minus theyre baffles?? If so how ya like the sound and whats the power difference?? Im thinking bout yanking mine out, but dont wanna fool with it if its gonna sound bad and get sluggish...
I have the 2 2 VH..I took the baffles out just to hear it..and did lose some low end, with popping on decel...so back in..still I think these are some loud pipes with them in..no need to remove, bike no likey
Don't know about performance but I do know they're F'N LOUD.
That's putting it mildly, the're almost obnoxiously loud for the rider let alone the poor SOB behind or beside you.
Leave the baffles in, the performance is better and strange as it may seem.
The bike actually sounds nicer, especially when you happen to stop at a light and a police car pulls up next to you.
Torque cones, or some are called Power cones, only cost about $25. I had them in my Samson Rip Saws, before I switched exhaust to a Fat Cat. The bike ran great with the Rip Saws and power cones, but the Rip Saws were the first generation and were dedicated drag pipes. They didn't come with baffles. The OD of the pipes were smaller then the Big radius 2 by 2 so you didn't lose as much back pressure.
The only reason I switched to the Fat Cat was that the Rip Saws were extremely loud and after 2 -1/2 years I couldn't take it any longer.
