Hey everyone i have an 07 night train and a few times when i go to start it, it wont turn over at first. I turn the ignition on and prime the fuel system and hit the start button and nothing happens it just clicks. Sometimes it starts on the second click and sometimes it takes 5 or 6. its only happened maybe 4 time so far and it seems random the first time was after it sat all winter but the last time was after i rode for an hour and shut it off and went to start it up agian. Any help would be great or any ideas on what to check first or if youve had a simial problem. Thanks alot, as i really wanna fix this cause i wanna do some long riding this season and its a little nervous to think my bike might not start up if i let it sit.

 

make sure battery is fully charged. check battery connections. check ground connections. steve

 

sounds like connection issue but i would replace the battery at 3 years old. my bike was made on 06/06/06.

 

Clean battery connections, charge battery and make sure the battery bolts are nice and tight like was said above. Clicking like that is usually a sign of a low battery or a poor connection.
