It works quite well with the detachable sissy bar - every thing is nice & tight/close together. I can't recall if it's a "one size fits all" kit or not - the folks there @ boss bags are very good to deal with and they can set you straight - I've dealt with them on a couple of occasions this kit & also had them line my bags so they don't get saggy.

I have a 2002 Heritage with a detachable backrest.

Does anyone know if I can run a 150 rear tire with the Boss Bags or Cycle Visions quick release hardware?

I run the barebacks with a detachable backrest the bolts on mine don't stick into the fender buy more than a thread if at all.

Are you using these brackets with Boss bags or with the stock HD bags?

Bubba's Brake. Keep the bag the closest to the bike and the least noticeable when the bags are off.
