So we went out to eat tonight to a local pizza joint, not too long after we sat down a waitress came over to our table ams said "you guys are riding motorcycles right? Well someone just hit a bike." So the three of us got up and ran to the parking lot and my relief it wasn't mine. The guy not only hit my friends R6 but he ran it over after he broke the kickstand. How can some people be so f*ckin stupid and not realize they just hit a bike, and then on top of it all not go tell someone and just park like nothing happened. If only there wasnt a crowd of people we would have tuned that guy up. So we swap info and the cops come, when we get the bike home and go over what was damaged and add it all up its 4K and the bike is only worth 5K. Has this happened to someone else, or do we just have really bad luck?
Back in '02 A drunk hit my bike in front of a Pizzeria. It was 2 months old and had 1200 miles on it. I was going to a barbque later so I wanted the bike running. Fortunately he only broke my front brake master cylinder and lever and scratched and dented the stock rear muffler. The paint was fine. I called his Insurance Co. It was a Saturday. I told them I could replace the master cylinder and lever and still ride it. They said no. I told them okay I'll rent another bike at your expense. They said go ahead and replace the master cylinder and lever, just save the broken parts. I got a take off at Harley and was on the road again. The insurance paid off over $700. I spent it on an air cleaner and new pipes that I was going to buy anyway. Not such a bad deal after all.
I never park my bike where a car can hit it. All restaurants have handicapped ramps that will put your bike on the sidewalk where they at least have to jump the curb to hit it.
Think about it. The ******* Hit a "parked" bike. I wonder how many cagers actually watch/react w/respect for bikes while in traffic? Seriously? Just blows me away!!!

Here, that's a great way to get a big $$$ ticket and have your ride towed away. The Fire Marshall won't cut you any slack and neither will the police.
lucky for him he talked to the insurance and the insurance company was more than willing to help. The lady said make a list of parts that need to be replaced and send it to us, the adjuster will call you tomorrow and he will cut you a check. The adjuster isnt even gonna come out to look at it.
We were at hooters on Southside Blvd in Jacksonville last year and some little bombshell blonde backed into one of our forums guys bike and had the domino effect on 14 bikes. Sixteen year old girls in big lifted trucks = Terrible ****ing idea.
