20mm Belt HP/Torque Limits
Quick question for you guru's out there. What are the power limitations for the 20mm belt? Reason I ask... I'm thinking of adding RevPerf's 107" kit to my '08 Train. They claim something around 100 hp/100 lb ft. I'm not looking to drag race my bike however a little more scoot in my scoot would be nice. Looking at that mighty skinny belt has me wondering if those performance numbers will exceed the limitations of the final drive. Again, no WOT/clutch dumping... just a little twist now and then. BDL or Primo...can't remember which...had a video where they took the belt off one of their 3" open primarys and cut it down to 1/2" wide...then tried to break it doing burn-outs. End of story they couldn't do it...those little belts can take a lot more than you think.

I tore 20 teeth off of my stock belt with only 225 miles on my softail. Have a 103 with 110 rear wheel. Changed the rear pulley to a 1 1/8 inch 70 tooth style but haven't had it out yet. Everything fit by messing with the spacing a little bit. Hopefully it will hold up.
