i have a 99 softail that some one swiched over to a primary belt. it broke last week. i ordered a new 1 and now i cant get the clutch basket off. i took the small nut in the center of the clutch basket off, how do u get the small cover out of the center of the basket.

 

The small nut is most likely the locknut for the clutch adjustment. You need to remove the clutch disc to get to the nut that holds the basket on. Usually need a special tool...since it is not stock it would help if you posted a picture so we can tell what clutch you have.
