Default 2007 front wheel ??

Hi all

Read many threads about centering front wheel on 2007 fatboys so thought need to get a concensus.

I seem to only find one guy who’s actually done it though on this model which is a bit unique.

Would like to see show of hands and comments.

I’m complicating this myself as I'm also doing twin disc set up and hate to see additional brackets so modifying the mount and calliper will tell more once finished if I ever get there.

Looking forward to hearing from you all ??

PS did you leave rear stock ??

It is not centered to balance the bike with the setup of the wide tire. I would leave it as is. You can't see under the front fender while you are riding regardless. Use the money for that mod for something else.

I wouldnt mess with your geometry too much. I put an 08 front wheel on my 04 which caused it to be slightly offset left and it seems to have messed with geometry. If the bike goes straight and feels ballanced, then just leave it.

yep it was a screw up but does not seem to hurt anything other than a little tire wear. i could spend the money to fix it but not worth it. there is advantage, your special, and the HD chrome forks are retailing for under 150 because they are for that year only. I have 51,000 miles and i am used to the turning angles the offset makes. sharper right turns and wider left turns

Guys

The news is no significant change to anything. Hands of the bars there is a tendency for the bike to track to the left but it did this before so that isn’t new.

Despite this pull whilst riding no conscious effort is required it rides as any bike.

No problem under hard breaking that I can see and certainly no sudden jerks of pull to one side

The bars stay aligned but I'd fixed that before with the use of neoprene riser bushes.

All in all very happy with the mod and the look of the bike now.

Good luck to those of you that are considering this change.
