Has anyone put or seen saddle bags on a 2010 Fat Boy Lo? I am thinking about putting some quick release saddle bags on mine but would really like to see what it does to the looks of the bike before spending the money. I am just tired of using the little duffle bag that attaches to the back rest and luggage rack. I like to ride mine without the backrest on it but I am afraid that the saddle bags will look worse than the back rest bag. Can anyone share a picture of one? Thanks and ride often and ride safe.

nice bike! i just picked up 2010 fatboy. tough deciscion between the lo and reg ular. wifey prefered the chrome.
go to harleydavidson .com and click on "build your bike" tab
you can play with diffrent configurations, seats pipes bags etc.
it will even list all the part #'s
i just remembered,
if you decide on the bags, a buddy of mine has a bike shop here in ny. ordered a set of harleydavidson fatboy bags and the customer changed his mind.
he's discounting them.
the website for the store is http://www.hogshoppe.com/http://www.hogshoppe.com/
they have the braiding on them to match the fatboy seat and tank panel, but you can probably save a couple hundred bucks.

I may be the only one here that thinks the back rest bag looks better than saddle bags, unless it's a Street Glide. I normally ride with a solo seat but when she wants to ride I throw the luggage rack on with the HD day trip bag and go, plenty of room for what we need.
I just got my FBL as well and I'm looking at the www.bossbags.com for bags. They offer a phantom release so you can put them on and off in a minute. They're about $1000 for the set (including all the hardware), but I was in HD asking about thier bags and my buddy in service agreed that HD just doesn't offer what bossbags does. I'll spend $800 at HD for bags that aren't quick release or $200 more for what I really want.
As for looks, I'm looking at their basic 38 bag. No extra shiny stuff so it should look perfect on the FBL. I just installed V&H BSS black pipes and the black SE Heavy Breather last night. I'll post a pic later today as well.
Sorry for the threadjack. Guys, im thinking about making fiberglass bags larger for baggers and a line for softails and dynas. Keep in mind it will be awhile before i get it all worked out but would something like that intrest you? Thanks for your input.
Tom
I am a dealer for Boss Bags and Leatherworks and can get you guys discounted pricing. I find both of their bags to be far nicer than the Harley brand. They are more expensive, but well worth it. Pm, email or call the shop for pricing. I don't have any pics, but there are people here who have had these bags and they raved about them.
