Put a set of 16" Wild One Chubby's on my 08 Cross Bones. Changed over to a set of Barnett Black cables, (throttle/idle). Now I've got about a 1/4 twist slop in throttle response. Any one have any ideas?
You should be able to adjust it out. Does your cables have an adjustment? Its usually 3 or 4 inchs out from where the cables come out of the handgrip housing.
Nope. Slip ring compression fitting into the throttle hand grip and straight cable to the throttle body on the engine. No adjust like the clutch cable.
Something is not right... I don't think that Barnett makes a clutch or throttle cable without an adjustment connector in it... at least for a Harley. You might have received something for a British bike, which has the adjustment in the cable receiver at the hand control. Or, something for a custom application.
Of course that would just figure. Darn near every project I undertake turns into "Never seen That Before". On the up side, I'm the king of FUBAR Projects! I'll keep yawl posted.
