The only thing is that once a day or so I had to bend the support back forward to get better support. Maybe the backrest brace could use a little tempering.
Just FYI if anyone's interested - all Classic/Deluxe/Springer backrests are back ordered at the moment. I ordered one anyway, will call tomorrow and see what the lead time is.
I had a Firehouse backrest, and it really good for the price, but with no adjustment, and the flex it can be a problem. So I sold it to a buddy and bought an Ultimate seat with adjustable backrest. Really nice seat.
I bought a Firehouse backrest early this spring and really like it. It sure helps my back for both long and short trips. I didn't have a problem with the spring in it. For the price, I can't complain.
I have a Corbin that I run every now and then. Very nice, feels good but look ok. It was origionaly a passanger back rest for my Vmax - wife loves it. Before it she would hang on so tight it hurt.

IMO after a couple of hours it would start leaning back a little, of course I'm 250 lbs. also. Maybe after a couple of years of bending it back it might ... ?
Yes, two ***** that hold down the drivers seat, and the passenger pillion slides into.
If you put the back rest on without the passenger seat and then push the backrest rearward and then release the pressure while watching the fender around the posts, you may notice that the fendermetal around these two posts flexs. I wonder how long it will be before the fender cracks around those posts. The flexing is really noticeable on a fatboy fender. I think using only those 2 posts is really a poor way to mount the backrest, but I don't see any other way to mount it on a softail.
