Thanks guys! That's an American Suspension Dragon Springer on my bike. The 2/4/6/8 is the amount in inches over stock length of an FX-style springer frontend. The FL springer is considered -2. I'm running a 140/70-21 on mine. The only thing you have to do to go wide is go with a wider rim (and probably drop the fender).
@TX-where r the pix of this bike everyone is talking about?
For clarity on my last post, I have checked out quite a few of the pics on this site, that only emphasised my love of the look. And so now i am seriously looking into sourcing parts.
What I really want or need now is some real time feedback from anyone that has semi-recently done the conversion. How those people found it compared from taking the standard forks off and then putting the springer forks on. Especially as i do a lot of riding and road trips to rallies all over England and Europe. As such a few people have said about keeping the standard forks...
But I'd much prefer someone who has made the switch and can give some real life experience of how their Softail or Night Train changed.
What I could get with the tube set up I told you about Chief. Can’t do that with the springer but not far off. I still ride the same roads as I always have just a tad slower. I’m 69 and my Dr says slow down haha.
