Yo. Put a new front fender on the Deuce yesterday. Same wraparound one (looks like a Cowcatcher or Saracen) that everyone else with a Deuce puts on. However, it came from my buddy's custom shop. I have no idea what bike it came off of. It fits fine (and the price was right = free), but I need fender blocks that are only 1/2" thick. All the fancy chrome front fender spacers I see on the net are all way too big (all over 1" thick).
I can get chrome shims, no problem. I was just wondering if anyone has a line on some fancy ones. I've tried J&P, Dennis Kirk, CAS4, Arlen Ness, Choppers Inc., Joker Machine, Drag Specialties, no luck.
Thank-you, and I saw those, but they're all over 1/2" thick. The distance between the forks and the new fender is only 1/2", so it's hard to find one that applies.
Nothing special. I think I'm going to be screwed when it comes to the paint, though. I had custom tins with a candy cobalt & black ghost flames. The paint job is 3 years old. I wanted a new front fender after I accidentally gouged my other one moving bikes around in the garage. I'm going to take it to my guy and see what he can do. It's only a temporary paint job - maybe a year or two. I have a bit more work to do to the Ultra & the Sporty, and then I'm going all-out on the Deuce, including a new back fender & complete new paint job. So, I only need this one to be close. We'll see how it works out.
the easiest way to get it mounted is just get the round spacers at the dealer they have 1/2 in , there like $1.50 each that way you can get it on until you find some thing better , I have a Fender on its way from E-bay
