Default Forward controls extension question

Anyone with an 01-06 FXST have any experience with the Arlen Ness 3" extention kit? Comfort is a matter of personal preference. I want to know about structural integrity, ease of installation and is it everything needed to complete the job. This is for an 04 deuce FXSTD.

Thank you

ARLEN NESS forward control extension kit for 2000-2006 FXST Softail models. Includes black anodized billet aluminum adapter plates, extended stainless steel rear brake line, extended shifter rod, kickstand spring pin and necessary hardware. If you have any questions, please send me an email!
  • Arlen Ness part number 07-610
  • Custom Chrome part number 05-806
  • Biker's Choice part number 26-3239
  • Drag Specialties part number 1601-0167

The kit is all inclusive and a very easy install. I ran them for a year or so on my bike before swapping over to custom extended controls. Never had an issue.

I have them on my bike. They are very sturdy well made pieces. No problems with mine so far.

I have an 03 deuce and this is one of the first things I added in 02. Very well made, sturdy and everything needed except brake fluid and Loctite was included. Second thoughts, Loctite may of been in the kit but I used what I had on the shelf. All the plating still looks the same today 17,000 miles and 8 years.

I'm using them with custom forward controls. No issues here at all.

Deuces, I'm 6'4 and have a rocker. I just put the 3" kit on a cpl months ago and love it. Haven't heard of anything longer than 3"
