2007 fatboy front tire
I just had to replace my front tire after 8,100 miles, a cupping issue. I went with the stock replacement dunlop d408f tire, but i notice after a close inspection that on the right side there is only a 1/16 to a 1/8 inch clearance from the outer lip of the tire to the inside of the side of the fender. Im aware of the 07 offset but not sure if the original tire was so close. The left side has around 1/8 to 1/4 inch room. can anyone advised if thats ok . I did put a 100 miles on it and it shows no sign of rubbing.. thankyou

that sounds about right. where did you measure it at. there are rivet on the fender and also the edge is rolled and they are the closest on the right side. i once had a metzler 880 150/80-17 on the front. it was so close it would clean any rocks that tried to stick in the tread. about 1/8 clearance but never rubbed
