I have been seriously contemplating on puttin 16" Apes on my 01 Heritage but Im tryin to figure out what to get exactly..I found these 2 kits on ebay and it seems to be a good price on each what do yall think? Am I missing something?
The first one says for dual disc brakes? There is not a Heritage made with a dual disc front end. The most important thing is that you like the fell of the bars. That is a great price and makes the swap very easy. I can't tell you what to do.
Tas Todd- Does the kit from Hill Country Customs come with everything that I need? and is it a good quality kit? It sounds too good to be true thats why I wanted to do a little research before ordering
Dr. Vtwin- my bad i pasted the wrong one..I meant to paste the one with the single disc brake..everything is the same on the other kit except for the brake disc error on my part. sorry
They come in different kits. Mine came w/ everything for the swap I needed. You'll have to get your fluids and gaskets separately. Bushings like the Doc said if ya wanna change them. I didn't change them but it's on my "too-do" list, as the rubber one's have a little too much play.
Yeah I will order the poly bushings also.May as well do it while you are doing all the other stuff..My buddy put 18" on his road king and didnt replace the bushings and i dont like that feeling at all..So. was the kit from HCC pretty simple to install? Doesnt take a rocket scientist? How was the service from these guys? man ordering it is about a click away for me..Im about talked into it.. Sorry Tas Todd for drilling you with a million questions but im kinda gettin excited over here..
