Looking for more get up and go at the low end and during cruising speeds. Anyone know a good cam for this range? I was looking at the Andrews and S&S but all that talk about valve lift, exhaust lift, duration, etc is jibberish to me. Any help would be appreciated.
Nash- Ive had alot of discussions lately about "cams" and I will tell you the Zippers Red Shift .577's or the S&S .575's have had great reviews however, you will also need to consider getting some machine work to the heads, milling them and port/polish will ensure the reaping of benefits from the cams. You might also consider some adjustable pushrods which would be a smart move. You might hear some rhetoric of getting heavy duty valve springs (do what your comfortable with) however, big twin valve springs can handle a .630 lift....so really not required.
Personally, Im going with the S&S .551 chains (cause Im cheap) easy start. Heads are being installed tomorrow and cams probably in two weeks or when I get time. I will keep you updated and good luck on what you choose.

I am in the same situation you are, I would like a set of cams but there are so many choices. If you find a set are you going to do them yourself? If so give me a shout and I will come over a give you a hand.
You working tomorrow, some friends and I are going to hit up some of the local watering holes if you are interested.
Be careful with how much cam you get - watch the intake duration number, the bigger, the less bottom end performance. This can be made up if you go with more compression but be careful with that too - don't go over 10:1.
