I see those go up pretty high, I would like some that come back at least two inches.

I can only speak for the Softail Custom. I just returned from a 2500 mile trip. Austin, Tx to Daytona beach to St. Petersburg Florida. I have 16" apes 3" forwards and a Mustang solo seat with a back rest that is very comfortable. I never get leg cramps or $ss cramps.

O/k, one other question.

Looked up the specs and the FXSTC weighs 765 lbs. and the NT only 682. What would make the NT over 80 lbs. lighter? I was surprised to see that.

I bought my bike used and it had an aftermarket brake line on it that only had 1 1/2" of slack in it. The dealer claims that H-D only gives you a couple of extra inches on the newer bikes these days anyway. I went with aftermarket black steel braided for a total of about $206 for all of them. It brought the grips back at least a couple of inches and came out really well.

Ya know, I'm not sure. Never realized that before. My buddies got an '07 custom and I have the '07 train.

I guess the FXSTC crew will have to chime in, but other than a bunch of chrome, different seat w/ sissy bar and non-drag handlebars, I thought they were identical.

I dont see the offset being 80 lbs, but it's possible I suppose.

Strange, but I did get those numbers from the HD website, although I still cannot imagine how there could be that big a weight difference.
