Just bougt an 07 deluxe last week and was giving the bike a look through and found a plug under the right side under the oil tank not connected to anything and another right under the exhaust. Does anyone know what these plugs are for and wether or not I can make use of them
If there is a not standard exhaust mounted. It could be one of the O2 sensor connectors. And the other one the exhaust valve connector.
Do you see any O2 sensors at the upper part of the exhaust close to the cilinders at the inner side?
Both sensors are there the plug under the oil tank is a two pin plug and the other under the exhause in the middle of the bike is a five or six pin plug
Could the two pin plug be a battery tender lead? Trace it back and see if it goes to the battery.
The other one is from the factory and I don't know what it's for.

Looks like the plug for the active exhaust valve on the International models (as Hollywood Ball mentioned).
2007 was the first year they introduced that trick to circumvent the noise regulations in Europe.
I am glad I asked I would never have found the disconnected oxygen sensor if I had not. Now I try to get a full understanding of the electrical system on every bike I get.
