I ride a Fatboy....love it.

My buddy bought a Dyna a couple weeks ago and had me ride it home from the stealership. Huge difference. At idle and again right around 2000-2300rpms. Once I got it up to speed it felt about the same. Dyna is a lot more nimble in the turns too. Fun to ride for a change.

Yeah you can tell there's a bunch of other stuff swishing around in there.. The B's are noisy.. Not quite Victory 100" overhead cam noisy, but not as quiet as my old scoot, vibrations and all. Sidenote: That chain drive Vic engine is a loud clankity beast.. but they run like a scalded dog.

As somebody said before me the cam does not do anything to the balance. What it has done is increase my mid to upper rpm power -2700 rpms and up. The most noticible difference is that with out it going 70 on the freeway and wanting to pass someone, I would often have to down shift to 4th gear. Now I can just twist my wrist and I have lots there to pass.
You get the same performance in lower gears at about the same rpm.
The gear drive was just a precaution with all that has been written about the chain tensioners.
I had the work done at Dudley Perkins in SF. I had a friend tell me last night that they are not doing performance upgrades there anymore, becuase of the EPA stuff going on. I bet you could still find someone to do it.

Ditto sfcmo357 and DMSC. Twenty five miles one way. I think the vibration would wear me out before I got to work.
