Anyone used these Dyna Beads. Are they any good? How difficult are they to put in the tire? Do you need to take the valve cores off? Please share your experiences.
Not being a smart #ss or anything but I did a search and found a few threads on Dyna beads. I like the idea have checked out their website for details but I keep thinking of the baby toys that have all those stars that tumble around in the wheel when rolled. But I didn't find any bad reviews for Dyna beads yet.
My buddy, an indy, used them when he mounted my front tire. He just removes the valve stem and pours some in. Haven't noticed anything about the front wheel/tire to be concerned with.
Put them in my front tire. No better, no worse than the original tire weights. Install took about 20 minutes and yes if you do it with the tire on the rim you have to take the valve core out which is easy as pie with $1 tool.
I used them when I installed new rims. The install took 10 - 15 minutes, and they work great. All you have to do is remove the needle valve and take your time when you are installing them.
Great Post.... I have never heard of these until now. When I mounted my 21 I was unsure of the balance as I didn't have my brake rotor on at the time and the indy told me he could get it close. I am going to try these.
Anyone that has used them... did you remove the weights on the outside of your wheel then also? prolly a doofus question but why not.
Also... for those who have installed.. on the goldwingdocs it says 2oz. for the goldwing. I did a quick glance over of the dyna beads website but didn't find any information saying how much you need.. the 20z or the 2 1oz?

We started installing them a few months ago. I have them in the front and rear tire of my daily bike. Just remove the valve and add prescribed amount. They work fine, you would never know the difference, just different technology to do the same thing, without scarring your wheel rim or spoke with an adhesive or spoke weight...
