I to say was pretty easy...

I just installed a set of the Vance and Hines Big Shot staggered on my 09 Night Train. Was pretty straight forward, I think one of the hardest things was getting at the O2 sensor under the oil tank to unplug and then plug back in but not that bad. I went solo but if I was going to do it again I think I would like to have an extra set of hands to help getting them mounting, would have been nice to have a bit of help to line everything up and get the nuts started, but its do able solo. Was not that bad really. Its funny as my two pipes are actually staggered with one end pipe a little longer than the other but on the Vance and Hines site they are even. Not sure if I did something wrong or not but they look good and sound really good. I would do it again for sure instead of taking to the shop....

Cheers

I would say one of the easier jobs to perform. I'd do what everyone else recommends above but I'll add one more tip. Don't tighten one thing all the way and then the other, tighten everything gradually, i.e., lightly firm up the nuts at the head pipes, then move to the mounting bracket, then back to the head pipes etc. That way, you gently pull everything into alignment. Just my 2 cents.

like they all said, nothing you can't do yourself, but take your time and use lots of rags to cover up any areas you think might rub or scratch while they're going in.

Northeast PA, Im always somewhere between Reading and upper Scranton Pa. Seldom in the Exton, valley forge area unless traveling through Phila.

Great looking x-bones there.

Thanks

Cake walk, take your time, remember to make sure all bolts and nuts started by hand (to avoid cross threading) and take your time..easy stuff.

JBG, Everyone's reply was a vote of convidence to move forward and
Get R' Done!

Looked over the bike this evening and looked at it in depth, as mentioned looks straight forward, I appriciate the response and imput, just didnt want to fucccc the bike up...... To not be able to wrench simple things like oil changes can end up costing alot of $$ with the stealer, for sure! Trust me I know.

not hard, just take your time, use lots of bath towels and wear rubber gloves and clean the pipes before starting the engine

Pretty simple. I didn't have a torque wench so I asked a guy to check torque on the bolts for the head pipes but he didn't charge me anything for it.

It's very easy. Never done anything on my bike except oil changed until last August when I did the stage 1 myself. Just get new exhaust gaskets, and also have some ratchet extensions.

Another thing too, I didn't use the O2 sensors in the exhaust. I went to an autoparts store and got 2 drain plugs (forgot what size) to plug up the holes in the exhaust.
