I'd recommend youtube if you cant hear any in person. The dealership also has recommendations as well for whatever particular sound. When they saw the pipes I was getting they said oh well compared to anything else those are going to sound great. It was immediately afterwards I realized that not all exhaust pipes cost $900... just the ones I had picked out Would of been nice to know that beforehand lol.
EDIT: If you do use youtube look at as many vids as you can of the same exhaust system a lot of videos sound different and if the system has a long name or known as multiple systems try a wide search with those names. My supertrapp x pipes where only on 2 or 3 videos and even then I had to search Paul Yaffe and Supertrapp to get them all.
How can you not like the crossbones logo? I love mine... its cartoony but classic looking. Really fits the bike IMO. I just need to find a pinup girl sticker for the other side.
You should get the appropriate year softail service manual
+1
As far as exhaust.... go hang out at a stealer parking lot on a Saturday...
Great place to see / hear pipes, as well as check out bikes....
Right now I am running the RSD Tracker..... but am lusting after a RB LSR
I didn't like the Xbones at first but then just kept coming back to the dealership looking at thinking of all the great mods. .. and that is its beauty - its begging to be messed with and personalised, probably moreso than any other HD model... in that sense, the XBones probably captures the whole HD motorcycle experience around freedom and being an individual in a same-same world better than most.
