It probably doesn't really matter, but my wife needs her 1000 mile done and we also have a gift card for free dyno.
Does it matter if we dyno first, then have fresh oil/plugs after everything is dialed in, OR start with fresh plugs, etc and throw it on the dyno?
Dealer says they do service first, but I figured a small amount of value might be added if we dyno, then get all the gritty fluids out and start fresh on a new tune.
Advice?
Edit: If it matters, it's on a 2010 Nightster. Dont know if Sporties have their own uniqueness...
do the service first as it is the one that checks the bike over for loose parts or hidden problems. if the free gift card for a dyno run or a dyno tune? if it is a run and you can wait until you do some mods it could be used then.
Thanks tk, I was hoping someone would chime in, lol.
It's a dyno tune. Gave us a gift card for about $400 to use for it. We bought her Nightster with V&H Shortshots, HD Heavy Breather, and a SERT (or whatever HD calls them now) off the floor with about 11 miles on it. They gave us the card and told us whenever we're ready (break in time), come get it dyno'd.
I'm just wondering if we should service before or after 3-4 hours of dyno runs.
