I am thinking about putting a detachable fairing with radio and speakers on my 2007 Heritage to get a little sound on those long rides. I am looking at a company called recklessmotorcycles. Has anyone purchased and installed one of these on their Bikes? I am looking at the one with 6.5 inch speaker openings. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or opinions on the fairings from this company. Thanks for the help.
I ordered one and it should be here in the next couple of days. Had them paint it to match my bike. I looked on the net at what I could find and liked these the best for a couple of reasons. When it comes I will let it be known what I got.
I have not heard of them. The price seems right and its made in the USA - both big pluses in my book. I went with Tsukayu and am very pleased with it. The audio is incredible. I have the 6x9 speakers and I cannot drive fast enought wash it out. Your doing the right thing - researching.
How much was the one you have? Glad you have the 6 x 9 speakers, I have a friend that owns a audio shop and he was afraid the 6 x 9's would not have enough air space and would sound bad. I was going with the 6.5 inch openings, but if you say the 6 x 9 sound good, I would rather go with those. Any photos of the inside (radio and speakers)?
Got my fairing. Reckless motorcycle fairing imo is the way to go. Had them paint it to match-it does- Fit is great, finish is great. I highly recommend them.
Anyway you can post up some pics of it?? Preferably of the edges and gaps. How well is it sealed? I bought one off eBay last year and sent that POS back. First time I got caught in the rain that thing would have smoked.

Thanks for the reply
I just finished my Reckless fairing. I put a Sony in with 6x9 Infinity waterproof speakers. Rides GREAT and sounds Great. I'm going to leave it black for a while but will paint it soon. The best add on for my 04 heritage yet. I tried 3 other handlebar systems and none of them worked for long. To wire it properly take off the seat and use a test light to find a hot wire that stays on after you turn off the ignition.
Do yourself a favor and email Glenn at woodys fairings. I shopped and debated and researched this for over a year before I made my decision. Based on quality price and opinions and experiences from others I went with Woodys. The best purchase and experience ive had Quality is second to none and customer service will blow you away. There are absolutley no negative feedbacks about this guy and his company. I have a Jensen Marine unit in mine with Glenns 5 inch speakers. The sound is unbelievable. I also popped a tach in mine. I just got it back from painter and still have to do pinstripe and maybe airbrush on front. I will take more pics when I get out and about. CW
