Default Lowered springer seat 1"

Got my new 2" springer seat springs in and put them on the X-bones. Absolutely love it. I feel perfect sitting in the seat and standing flat footed on any surface feels right now. Before my right leg was a little too close to the Supertrapp pipes and I could feel the heat. Feels much better and I think it looks a lot better as well.

Install was quick. Took out the front bolt holding the seat on (the longest part actually it was in there pretty good) then I just removed the old springs and had a fun time getting the washer and bolt back in the new springs but I figured out a pretty easy way and got it back together.

As you can see the gap is a lot less and the seat angles down in front and up in back. Makes for a comfy ride.

I didnt hate the look before I love the springer seat and I know they're supposed to be up pretty high for the bobber look but I wasnt comfortable at all on it espically with the new exhaust. My leg was constantly hitting the pipe when I put my feet down and it felt like I was on top of the bike which wasnt bad but I love the feel now like im down in the bike which feels fantastic. Plus I love the way it follows the lines of the bike now. Im looking for a thinner solo seat now possibly the one HD sells.

+1 on that. Good call. I did the same thing about a year ago. Like you say...I didn't hate the old 3", but it kinda looked like an old tractor seat the way it tilted forward. Now the seat angle is more in line with the contours of the bike. Plus I sit an inch lower...
