I have the 3" Phython Mambas w/2" baffles. They are made by V& H but costs less. They sound about right for me but if you want real loud they offer 2 1/2 " baffles. Only problem is you have to pay extra since you can't order them with different ones.
I have the Big sucker AC & Xieds because it was a little too lean for my liking without richening it up a bit. Runs great now.

I can tell you that Rinehart slip-ons are too loud for where I live. 92.5 db at idle, and 98 at 2000 rpm... and $250 a ticket.

I had the V&H slip ons on my Sportster with the quiet baffles in and it was louder than both my Deluxe with the Double Barell Long's and my Fat Boy Lo with the BSS. If you want to be able to control the sound, try them without the QB's at first and then, if they're too loud, you can tone them down a tiny bit with the QB's. The QB's actually just bring the tone down to a nicer rumble and take away the ear ringing tones. But I'd recommend them.

Then again...as av8or said above...for a couple houndred more, you can do a whole pipe replacement and be done for good. Might be worth holding out another month or so until you can do that?

As for a remap... you don't "have" to do it if you just change the pipes. But you should do it and the Air ASAP. It'll really help cool the bike down by fixing the factory lean mixture the bike came with. But do the pipes first and then the rest when you can.
