Detachable backrest side plates for an '01 Heritage Springer
I know that pic on the bottom is a dyna, but I just added a new one to the stable, an ´01 FLSTS. I ordered the parts from Harley and the backrest that came seems to be about in inch too short. There are three holes on the rear of the fender strut and the Turn signal is there with the docking hardware for the side plate(the previous owner had the backrest on the bike, but sold it on Ebay). I have looked at the turn signal placement and if the signals are put in the front hole the saddle bags wont open. Any body have any experience on this one? please let me know.

That is the correct number.
You may have the bike set up for the detachable handrail...Which is a back rest for the HS's, but it uses different mounting points

I think that´s it. I just got off the phone with HD and they sent me the PDFs of the installations instructions, and the way my bike is set up does not go with that, just a case of getting some new docking hardware and putting it in. Thanks for the help. I'll Try to get some pics posted she is beautiful.
