To each his own, but it's time to think outside the box. All the above mentioned grips are nice but everybody has them. There are alot of custom made ones out there from various fabricators that are great. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have these and don't really care for them. I think the Kuryakyn's provide a softer, more comfortable grip

Just a heads up for those that have or are thinking about getting the Chrome & Rubber ones (http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US). I had those on my Sporty and after about a year or so, the rubber started to "peel" away from the grips (I guess you say it was almost popping loose or out of the chrome). Not sure if it was just a fluke with my pair or a problem in general with them.

Anyways, I prefer the knurled style of grips. Going to try to find them in black for my Train. Just my .02 and YMMV.

Another vote here for the Performance Machine Renthal grips. I went through three sets of different Harley ones before getting them, and immediately knew the PMs were the grips I would have on every bike from now on.

And ya cannot compare the avons to them.. They may look like them but are no where even close in quality.

I have the ISO with throttle boss grips on both my bikes.
Comfortable and look okay with the HD Airfoil pegs.

Go anywhere that there are a group of motorcycles.

Find the ones that ride.

I mean in the thousands of miles a year, not the barhoppers and weekend warriors.

Look what the guys who truly ride use. 8 of 10 of them have Kuryakyn Iso's.

There's a reason for that.

I average over 10k a year, and I work 80-90 hours a week. I use the ISO's.

My two cents worth.
