Default Need some help choosing a saddle shield

I posted this in general chat, but thought I would post it here to get more responses.I have a 00 FXSTS,and I'am a bigger guy.My problem is my extra meat on my inner thigh is burning up.The rear cylinder is putting a nice blister on my thigh.I can throw my left leg over the peg on the highway, but I can't do the same on the right.I have looked at the saddle shields from Kuryakyn and Captain Itch.I was just wondering if anyone has used these and which one would be the best for me to lay out with my boots on the pegs, with my inner leg resting on the the heat shield?

Go with these, RJS originals. I have had the Kury's and these. Line them with exhaust tape from an auto store. You will love the fit on the bike and they work real well.

Captain Itch for sure. A righteous forum sponsor from way back and a mellow dude.

I don't have them, but the RJS look a lot nicer to me. I'm sure either these or Capt. Itch would do the job, but I'm not a fan of the elephant ear look of the Itch ones.

I think tslonige's are the better deal, I'm sure they are worth the extra cost. I have the Kury's and after several months on my 09 FLSTC the right side just gave way while putting gas in it this past weekend, darn thing just fell to the ground. the rear hole was the first to break away from the screw then the front screw a couple months later broke out.

I recommend anyone that has these on their bike to place rubber washers on both sides of the screw holes where they enter the glass at.

I was just a few days out of warranty (1 year) and was told by Cruisecustomizing where I purchased them from that I was SOL not in those words but might as well of been so I contacted Kury directly and they are going to honor the replacement on a one time only.

I've used both, the Kurys and the ones from Capt. Itch. on an 09 Heritage.

Sorry for the double post! my error. The ones from Capt. Itch were much more effective in my opinion
