I am looking at the signature series seat with the backrest for my 2010 Fatboy and am trying to figure out why the Studded version does not fit the 2010 Fatboy?
It appears from the HD website that I can only buy the smooth version. Can anyone explain this?
I would think the studs would not look right on a fatboy. I have this seat (studless) for my bike when I ride 2-up. It will sit you down pretty low, and forward, the passenger pad is huge! It is very comfy for the wife, but I would not ride solo with it, looks... ugly. I like my mustange, as soon as i can get the pad for this seat, the signature is a goner. Another note, the front of the seat is pretty damn narrow, be prepared for some fried ham-hocks.
Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, u may like it.
I'm running the Mustange Vintage Wide with backrest, and love it. Best seat I've had yet, outa several. If I get time tomarrow, I'll throw the seat on and take a pic for you, but I'm gonna be pretty busy... Honey-do list.. LOL
One think I would think about is some kind of rocker heat-shield. There was talk about one on here, I think it was a leather one that went on easy and looked good. Sounded good. You will fry your ham-hocks on occasion with this seat (very narrow nose).
