Just got a 2010 Lo about a month ago and i have been looking around for parts. I am interested in two things that i know little about, and im hoping some more experienced riders can help me out.
First, i keep seeing Los (and other softails) with different front ends. Narrow tires, like 21s, instead of the fat front. Is that a wide glide front end? Where are you guys getting these new fronts? And what is the length on the forks? Different rake? Id just like to know what is being done. I kinda like the look and im curious. Post some picks of yours if yourve done it.
Second, id like to throw on a shorter rear fender. The ones i find are upwards of $1200 for the fender and struts, and thats madness. Im just looking for bare fenders. I can paint the stuff myself, but i want a fender and struts. Where is an affordable place to get parts?
Thanks for the help

usually the narrower tires are on the FX softail front ends, I imagine it could be put onto a FL front, but I'm not sure how that would look. I believe HD has a replacement fender sort of like you are describing. Its called the street stalker or something I think
As far as the front goes, i just saw a night train with a 23" front tire, 3.5" wide. Thats kinda what im lookin for. Im really curious about how much work goes into that conversion.
