Default 200 Conversion By HLP Customs

Just finishing up 200 Conversion by Highalnd Park Customs, Los Angeles on my 04 Night Train.

Glendale HD told me it wasn't possible and that they do not do any custom work on bikes. Heartland does not make any conversion kits for 00'-05' Softails.

However, Liberty at HLP Custom had no problem taking on the job of an 04 NT 200 Conversion. Stock swingarm stayed in place. He did a professional job and is a master mechanic.

Thanks to all other members who have posted threads regarding 200 Conversions on this forum.

Speical thanks to Liberty for being respectful and patience when answering all my amateur mechanic questions about my bikes.

Parts:
1. 18 x 5.5 Wheel machined hub
2. Two Avon tires 200 rear and 21 Front
3. Progressive Lowering Kit for rear shock (Pending Front Lowering Kit)
4. 70 teeth 1" Pulley
5. Chrome Pulley Cover
6. 1" Belt
7. Roland Sands Struts
8. Custom 9" Rear Fender

Looks good so far!

Any pics with the fender on?

Who makes your rear wheel? What brand rear fender did you go with?

Looking to do a 180 or 200 wide tire on my '05

If I wanted to go bigger on my ride (2002) I'd do the Heartland 250. That looks great and thanks for the info. fheartland also makes the 180 for those year bikes, but no 200. I'm going to have to find out why on Monday.

Does the tire clear the frame horns? Every other 200 conversion I've seen for '00-'05 requires cutting off the frame horns.

Actually, Heartland does make a 200 conversion now. I think they just came out with it. Their website doesn't say what the difference between the 180 and 200 kits are though. I have to say I'm interested in seeing options other than Heartland. Maybe prices for conversions will come down some.

It was my impression that the heartland kits were for 180/200. Either. Guess I should double check, but I was thinking they had either kit available for any softail.

Heartland does offer a "early 200 coversion"(http://heartlandbiker.com/_catalog_7336/200_Conversion_Systems_-_Fits_00-05)for the '00-'05, BUT the guy who was heading that up left the company or got fired or some crap like that(been talking with Jake @ Heartland)....anyways, it is supposed to be available for purchase soon(even though the site says it's available)

Dr. V-Twin, I'm reall interested in getting one, can you call them and see when it will be ready and can you PM me a price (33809 shipping code)

Thanks
