What's the story with the headlight nacelle for my 02 fatty? The new headlight I want isn't compatible with the only nacelle that will fit. Should I keep my stock headlight and just add the nacelle? Anyone have suggestions?
This is a decision you should make based on your tastes...not our's. I think the HD nacelle with passing lamps looks great!! Then again, I think the passing lamps with stock headlamp looks great, too. Oh, wait....I like the stock headlamp with the entire front end chromed out, too.
I like mine....cant decide whether to add the passing lamps or not. I do know that I am going to be removing the mini apes that I got on the bike right now......it is so ugly I will not even post pics.
HD has only one necelle and there are a few other after-market necelles, but there are tons of lamps. If you like the look just get the necelle, and then find a lamp you like that will fit.
Thanks for the repilies, guys. I guess the nacelle will look just fine without having to immediately upgrade the lamp from stock....which was kinda my question. The piggy bank is gonna have to fill back up before I do anything, though. Thanks again.
Hello Rick,
I have a 2004 Heritage and I put beach bars on it I would also like to put a necell on but have been informed the riser cover will not fit due to the taller risers. Any input.
I upgraded my stock healight on my 02 with an inner headlight from jcwhitlney for $20 and put in a sylvania silverstar h4st for brightness. My stock outer headlight has a fat trim ring which is all I need. I love how it looks. I was gonna do passing lamps, but decided I like the stripped down look. I think it looks mean like it is.
