Default Fork / Gas tank alignment issue !!

Hi all,

I have just installed my tripple tree after powdercoating and my gas tank after painting & installing 2" rise kit.

while taking the bike for a test ride, I noticed that the right side of the tripple tree is closer to the tank than the left side (while riding in straight line) !!

what could cause this ? any body faced similar situation ??

Just curious. Are the risers bolted on straight from the top tree? They could be slightly askew if the bushings have play in them or if they're not completely tight. If the risers are cocked a bit,one side will look closer than the other. Not knowing what front end you have, may tell a different story(oem, after market)?

You didnt square your trees when you put it together. Loosen your top tree and give your bars a yank to bring everything back in line. Usually takes two people to do it. Dont worry, its a common screw up.

thnx, but I already installed/slided the tubes inside the tripple tree without problems. Wont this be enough to square/align the triple tree ??!!
