Default Help!

Ok, so I finally got around to putting on my Heartland EZ200 kit. Mounted up nicely, except for the fact that I have to drop the rear at LEAST another inch... but anyway,

We mounted Kuryakyn mini-bullets and as such, disconnected the ECM and the ground (as per Heartland's instructions to begin with). We button everything up and... THE BIKE WON'T START. More specifically, when I hit the "start" button, the fuel injection won't "prime". There's no high pitched sound. And when I hit the ignition button, the bike just cranks and cranks but doesn't turn over.

Does the alarm have to be reset or something? We checked all fuses, all wires, etc. I am even taking the system relay and the ignition relay to HD tomorrow to see if they're ok.

Any ideas guys?

I would think that maybe a pin in one of the connectors might have gotten bent?

Nope. Checked that.

Gotta be something with the alarm.

Btw, Drew, the Heartland kit makes my bike look like I'm ready to go off-roading. NOT happy about that. There's at LEAST a 2.5" gap between fender and tire. Now I have to drop the damned thing even further. Which will, of course, render the shocks all but useless and make the thing ride like a hardtail.

I know, I know... Air Ride. Anyone have another $1500 for me?! Christ in a sidecar, is this annoying.

Try replacing the battery in your fob.

i dont have security but sounds like you have to reset the fob call hd and ask...as far as the gap it should look fine with a 2inch drop, i see you have hd lowing shocks i thought those only gave you 1 inch........heres mine with the lowing bolts 2inch drop

and when you sit on it it sinks a little too

If it was the fob and the alarm it wouldn't even crank... If it's cranking it comes down to 2 thing fuel or spark... If you don't hear the fuel pump I would start there. Try taking the AC off and shoot some starting fluid in there if it trys to start then it's a fuel problem.

It sounds like something directly linked to the fuel pump itself. Try tracing back any wires that have to do with the fuel pump circuits to make sure there is not even the slightest pinch. Also you said you had the ground disconnected check that as well. Another shot is disconnect the battery for like 30 seconds reconnect and keep your fingers crossed. There is nothing I hate more than dealing with electrical issues. So FRUSTRATING

One other thought if those Kury lights are LED do they require a load equalizer? Might not have enough resistance. Are any of the lights out of the norm on your console?

Not trying to insult your intelligence... but did you accidentally hit the "Stop / Run" switch. I never use that switch myself, but I let my best bud ride my scoot for a charity run, and he put that switch into "Stop" when he returned my Heritage. When I hopped on it the next day, same thing happened to me... no fuel pump priming noise. Took me 10 mins to figure it out... it's always something simple & stupid! Hope you get it figured out! Let us know what you figure out.
