1 tip I can give you is cut the factory sheathing off that covers the wires and use the smallest heat shrink tubing that will cover all the wires. I left about 3 inches of the factory covering to push into the bars and then covered the rest with the new wrap. It pulls thru the bars alot easier and looks a lot cleaner than the larger factory stuff. Good luck on your project. If you search my name I did a write up when I did my RK and put a lot of tips.

It can be a taxing task, be patient and dont strip wire as you put them through the bar inside, could leave you with more work or a short out, don't ask me how I know lol.

I used a mesh covering that looks good and works well for that as its more flexible than shrink tube.
I put a write up on it in the DIY Cheap thread at the top of the page.

weal guys everything wend half way good until I broke one of the electrical connecting pins for the plugs,I can not find anywhere locally now my bike just set in the garage all in peaces.....

hey doc the wires are kind of short now because the new bars are 8 inch rise and 31 inch wide,maybe is not bad idea to get all new harness and switches, any way I want chrome switches ,you have this staff?
