I will but they will not be paint until after the first of the year; I want to get a little creative with them that two tone custom Harley color is costly. I have to collect a few more Aluminum (empty) beer cans to pay for it.
I have the Iron Bags on my Deluxe. They are very nice for leather bags. If I didn't have these bags I would have hard bags of some sort. The reason being is that hard bags are lockable and more maintanence free from a cleaning aspect. I would rather wash and wax a hard bag than wash and waterproof the leather bags. Granted the leather bags look a bit more nostalgic but are more of a pain to keep looking good. the factory bags look great but are a bit on the smaller side. Do your research and get what you like best.
+1 I've got the factory bags on my Deluxe and although they look nice and match the bike perfectly...they're just WAY too small. The Hog Deluxe bags will also match perfectly, they're easily removable and they're MUCH larger.
They can tell you if you've got clearance. Check them out. If my bike didn't already come with the bags, I would have gotten them.
The Harley engineers came up with a great bike when they introduced the Deluxe. But the stock bags looks like they were all sitting around and patting each other on the back for a job well done and when fired one up. All of a sudden they said oh my god we still have to make Saddlebags for it and you know the rest of the story.
I had the harley bags and just switched over to the BOSS bags and I loem. Love the mounting set up--on and off in 30 seconds. They can be locked so they cane opened or stolen. I love them for whatever its worth. I went with the 40s.
The reason for the stupid tiny Paris Hilton handbag style saddlebags on the Deluxe is/was the shotgun exhaust. They might carry a rain suit and two bottles of water. Wife hated them.
Found a takeoff exhaust from a Heritage (free) and Heritage bags on ebay. Sold the deluxe bags on ebay for $200 more than I paid for the Heritage bags. The only mod I ever made money on and the wife is happy.
I really don't care for the Deluxe bags IMO, to pricey and small. I went with a set of Heritage Springer bags a little larger then the Deluxe bags, the only down side is you'll have to change out you exhaust. Try Osprey they make some really nice bags.
