Default softail springer front wheel

Does anyone know if a 1999 softail standard front wheel will fit on a 2006 softail springer.

You need a wheel designed for a Springer.
When I purchased the Hallcraft wheel for my '96 BadBoy, every mfg I got a quote
from told me to be sure and buy a wheel engineered for a Springer. They said because
the weight of the Springer frontend and flex the forks would have if an improper wheel
was used.

A 99 wheel will have different bearings and different axle than the Twin Cam 06

yep I just found this out as-well...I currently have a 1999 Softail Springer and I am wanting to purchase a twin cam Heritage Springer and do a 21 inch front wheel swap, I was told you can keep your factory (twin cam) hub and just have a 21inch rim laced to it

That is the way to go but don't know if you ever rode on a skinny 21.I don't like how they handle and they wear out quick.
