i have a le pera Silhouette on my scoot and mama hates it...(cant blame her ...i dont even think its the two up one...) i love the way it looks on the bike but i have to do somthing for mamas ***...i was thinking about a bare bones and getting the pillion for it.any one have experience with the pillion and how comfortable it is...also how easy is it to take on and off?
any input would be great, i refuse to put the stock couch on there...thanks in advance, randy
First off what year is your bike? I have a barebones and the passenger pillion my with like it better then the badlander seat that came on my train. But now when she rides I stick a phantom pad (bitch pad) on... The pillion is kinda a pain to put on it's got 2 bolt that bolt to the front seat on the bottom and then uses the thumb screw for the back.
She only used it twice... and then I poked a hole in it... Don't ask how... lol
anyway I've since changed the fender and since I had all holes removed she sits on a suction phantom pad now.
I still have then barebones pillion if you want it $25.00 plus the shipping and it yours but theres a hole in the seat... PM me if you're interested.

the bike is an 87... tell me more about the bitch pad..any pics with it on your bike? how comfy does she say it is? thanks for the reply, randy
I used to have the phantom pad too, but did not want to risk my relationship any further , I switched to Lepera Regal Plush, I must say, it looks very old school on the bike, specially with the quick detach single piece sissy (no pads , Pc'ed it black) I switch between it and my spring seat setup in 5 minutes.
The bitch pad is just a phantom pad with suction cups on the bottom... If she likes it? If she wants to ride will she have to use it... Yes... lol You can get cheaper ones but Phatom is the best IMO.
Excuse the chrome bar put I was mocking it up before PC'ing...
Story,
My G/f, turned Fiance, soon to be wife, has educated me on how unstable the pad was, in , I had the same pad, the problems arise from the fact that the pad does not lay 'horizontal' when mounted on the fender, it always tilts forward, making her uncomfortable in longer rides.
I find having a solo seat and a two up seat much easier to swap, and keep everybody happy.
I hear you brother... But I got rid of all the fender holes and I have no plans of redrilling them anytime soon... Congrats on the engaugement!
When I explain it to the OL it's very simple... "Look hunny you get to sit on this nice cushy pad... All the rest of the girls gotta ride on that hard hot fender"... LAMO

LOL that is super funny But then I have to shoot all those Ultra baggers running around with friggin armed chair passenger seats .. seriously, what is up with that ?
Last week I was trying to talk her in to letting me do a 250 kit on the back... Telling her just imagine how much more comfy and wide the seat for her... Didn't work... Oh Well?
