Does anyone have any experience with Cyclevision barebacks for removable saddlebags on a Heritage? Are they easy to install? Do they hold the bags securely.
The reason I ask is because it is a PITA to remove the bags with standard hardware. Half the time the isolater tears. I want to be able to remove the bags to clean easily plus if I am just riding locally I may want to remove them and the windshield for a totally different look.
Any comments (positive or negative) would be appreciated before I throw down $150 for something that I might not like.
I was just at the shop talking to one of our guys about what a pain it is to get the saddlebags off when they are bolted on as he was unbolting them. The barebacks do put the bags out a little bit to the sides but are very easy to use and install.
I have them installed on my 2010 Heritage. I like them. Pretty easy on and off and hold the bags in place securely. I usually ride without bags so I do not mess with them that often. They do add about an inch or so but nothing I can not live with.
