Perception maybe... I dunno.. When they first came out, they were hot because of performance claims... new stepped header design, venturi style baffles, etc. Gerald Rinehart has quite a history for racing exhaust systems. Also, there's more welding involved in production also because you're essentially welding three different sized pipes together for each header.. Then they weld on the heatshields. The welding of the three-size headers (on mine) was pretty impressive.. Enough that if the chrome shields ever got crappy or scratched up, I'd just grind them off and black tape or powdercoat the pipes by themselves.. That would look sick! [8D]
Haven't priced them lately.. Are they still that much more?
Ebay Baby! spent a huge $250 on mine.
There is more than just the drag pipes to choose from now.. The 2 into 1's also interest me as well as the slip-on's. Those slipons might be a smaller investment, but I have no idea how they perform or sound.
You can get a good price on rineharts or any other pipe at Easterns performance. I have the 2-1 rinehart. I was the first in the area to have them installed. I love my pipes. I wasn't a big 2-1 fan, but wanted something different. I'm glad I made the right choice the first time!
I've got the Rinehart 2into1 and love it! Nice DEEP low rumble at idle and a loud deep growl when you roll on the throttle. At highway speed the rumble is deep and low and not too loud at all, for me anyway. Picked up good numbers after install. Went from 72-80 hp-tq to 80-85.

Had to do something after getting my wifes Dyna. Her V&H SS Staggered sounded soooo much better than my SEII+ slipons. [:@] Found these for sale on the forum here and just couldn't pass them up for the price.
Sorry.. I'm gonna shut up I promise but I'd like to hear Coaster and Fatbernies impressions after going with the RH drags.. Did I steer you guys right? How'd your scoot run after install? Likes/dislikes?
I heard some rineharts today and Im sweating a set, sounded like a dragster!!

Babs, you steered me very right. I have put those pipes on and from that day I've never looked back. I rode a hundred miler ride today with my local HOG chapter and these Rineharts keep pace with every and all bikes in the club. Better than most. I am very happy I went the extra for them. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
