So I just added some RSD vintage king apes to the Night Train and I think they look really great and they have for sure really helped with the comfort as I am a taller guy. With the Corbin seat made to push my butt back and the 3" forward controls extended and now the Apes the comfort level is now like riding a couch !! However....
I now look at the bike and what I am not a fan of is now the mirrors ( still the stock ones ) so I am wondering what have people done about the mirrors after they have installed Apes. I tried pulling them off and mounting them under neath the bars which looked okay I guess but I am hoping some one out there has done something better. Post up some pics of your Mirrors with Apes....!!!
Just picked up mine with RSD vintage apes and the first thing I did when I got home was took the right stock mirror and put it lower left and left the other off. I'm left handed and figured it's easier for me to look left, that's just how I felt looking in it.
whats the size on those??? I have an 08' Train and have been thinking of apes...don't know if I want 10" rise or 12".....I'm gonna powder coat front end flat black..
K...what I have is a the 12 inch apes with a 5 inch rise...if I was going to do it again..." and I more than likely will LOL " I would go with the 18 inch apes and with minimum rise like 1 inch. Maybe the 16 inch with a 1 inch rise would be good to. My plan is to powder coat the risers and such to match the black.
