I had this same discussion with a guy at the shop yesterday. I flipped my stock mirrors when I put apes on a long time ago. I am keeping them as I like to be able to see in them. That is the way it is on my ride. I switched to some smaller mirrors a while back and I couldn't see anything in them.

my mirror is pretty small, but it's got convex glass, so it's actually useable

Default thanks

Thanks for all the pics folks....was hanging in the garage today and looking over things again. I think I am going to mount them under again and ride it like that for a while and see if it grows on me or not. I am thinking that maybe if I found some smaller mirrors it would not look to bad at all mounted under. Will post a few more pics once I re-mount them again.

Cheers and thanks again...

I'm running the Arlen Ness Micro's (Chrome), normal mount, on top of Todd's Cycles 17". There pretty small, but surprisingly enough I can still see fairly well..

I have 18" w/4" risers.I tried them underneath, and couldn't see anything.Put them up top,and they are perfect.I guess I'am too wide and can't see around myself, but I don't see how anyone can see with the mirrors underneath.
