Anyone have one of these? How do you like it? Was installation easy? They certainely look like they will be easier to read then the stock ones. When I sit on my bike I can't even read it without leaning forward...
I have installed one of these very easy. Hardest part was adding a block in the fuse box-took about 15 minutes. Well worth it now I can see it without leaning forward.
Were you not able to utilize the existing fuse, or was there never one to begin with? Did you use the new harness they sent or the existing harness on the old guage? I was guesssing there would be no need to change out the harness and was going to disconnect the wires at the guage itself and hook up to the existing harness. Is that how you did yours?
I installed one and it also has a LED voltmeter as well. The job was quite easy and the end result worked out real well. The installation went well as I had an existing fuel guage. The HD unit was impossible to see with my eyesite but with the LEDs I can see my fuel level as well the voltage. I think its a great choice and looks good too, day or night..
I found the one I want in the new H.D. catalog that was just sent out. It's like a 20 page magazine with three different styles to choose from $109-$149. I don't think it is in the 2005 accessory catalog, though. I believe Kurayken sells one also with a battery meter, so try their website.
Heated hand grips.... Where's the heated seat? How about the new Harley Ball Warmer? Do you need to check with your favorite HD dealer for one of those?
How do you feel heated grips with low temp gloves on?
