Default Mounting Lepera Bare Bones

OK this seems simple but I just got my new Bare bones solo and pillion for my fatboy. the pillion only came with a bracket and two screws with washers. It appears I can either mount the pillion directly to the solo seat or install the rear bracket that will fit into the hole in the fender. Am I missing some screws or is attaching it to the seat alone good enough?

You have to do both... It screws to under the front seat and to the thumbscrew would go just like your org one. For the rear bracket take off you stock fatboy one and use that for the rear... To me the stock bracket looked like it would keep the seat off the fender better. Easy on the screws under the seat, don't cross thread them.

Thanks, I bought the bike used and it came with a 1 piece two up seat. So I don't have the bracket you mentioned I guess. Can I bolt the two seats directly together or do I need the bracket?

Yes you're supposed to bolt them together theres no bracket for that, just the metal flap that is on the pillion. I was talking abot the bracket at the rear of your two up seat, the one that is held by the thumbscrew. You need to bolt the seat to the pillion and treat it like a 2up seat.

What year is your bike?

Bringing back an old thread here. I just ordered the same thing for my 02 Heritage. It came with a Le Pera BB solo, no thumbscrew or anything for mounting on the fender mount. So I get the seat, it has two screws and two washers, I assume for where the pillion mounts to the seat.

So it looks like I need to purchase two more screws / washers, and a thumbscrew for the fender mount? Another thing is the metal braket that sits between the fender and seat doesnt have any felt. Looks like it will scratch the crap out of my fender.

Any tips?

An 02 Heritage will mount to the frame just in front of the fender struts.

Yeah I have the solo on there and mounted already. This is for the pillion. There are two screws that attach the pillion to the solo seat, and then there is a metal bracket that attaches under the seat and to the fender mount. But only two screws came with the pillion.

And the bracket that attached to the back is all metal, no felt..seems like it would cause some damage.
