I believe that every thing costs a little more out East and a lot more out West. I notice this on almost every thing I price when traveling. I did notice that most HD dealers charge about the same for clothes.

Plainfield is a little more expensive than Indy. Richmond is too.

Bit different over here in the UK - here we get dealer prep and 1000 mile service included in MRSP - no add-ons.

Funny . . . That's exactly how it works here in north texas too.

MSRP (full price) but no BS extras. 'cept tax of course.

we pay full MSRP plus the $650.00 dealer prep and the $100.00 for the first maintance. Late in 04 when the 05 deluxe came out some of the local stealers were geting $1500.00 above MSRP plus the prep that was when they first came out and were a hard to get.

$170 for the first trip to the shop, Sandhills HD, Pinehurst NC. Switched to synthetic. Will have to look at invoice to see what prep was.

My set up was: $260 (but they had to drop theirs $300to match another dealer's setup chargeabout 70 miles away)

I just did the 1,000 mile checkup yesterday - $250.84
But I did the synthetic oil changover.

But I also bought a Mesh Riding Jacket and 2 T-Shirts, so do I have to include that $143.97 too? [sm=confused06.gif]
